The XM5s also stand out for their intelligent interaction with your smart device. They can detect when they're removed from your head and stop music, they can detect that you're driving on a noisy road and automatically reduce the noise cancelling levels and they can also connect to two devices simultaneously and switch between them based on what you need more urgently. The WH-1000XM5s are eco-friendly. The WH-1000XM5s are made from recycled plastics and acrylonitrile, butadiene and styrene. The headband is made of high-quality fabric. They come with a case that folds into itself, creating a compact pouch. Also included is a 3.5mm to 3.5mm aux cable so you can listen in a passive mode. Bose QuietComfort 35 The Bose QuietComfort35 II/QC35 II Wireless 2018 are more flexible than the Audio-Technica ATH-DSR9BT Wireless headphones due to their extremely comfortable fit, a well-balanced sound profile, and ANC feature that blocks out a significant amount of background noise. The Bose headphones have 20 hours of battery life, and are more convenient to charge and can be used with a mobile even when the battery is empty. This makes them an ideal choice to those looking for headphones that can be used as commuter or travel headphones. These premium Bose headphones come with a Google Assistant button, which activates the assistant to play music, respond to questions and read notifications on your smartphone. Sony WH-1000XM4 Sony's WH-1000XM4s don't offer much in terms of design or comfort improvements from the M3s, but its noise cancelling technology is a whole new beast. The company has replaced the older system-on-chip (SoC) with a brand new one that it claims will allow it to detect and respond more precisely ambient audio in real-time by reducing mid- and high-frequency noises using its Dual Noise Sensor technology. Two feedforward microphones in each earcup capture ambient sound, which is then processed by the QN1 noise canceling processor to cut it down as quickly as is possible without affecting the quality of your music. The result is an amount of noise reduction that is comparable to the top headphones in this price range. There's also a sensitivity knob which lets you alter the noise cancellation according to your preferences. You may, for instance wish to hear ambient sounds in public while at home, or you might prefer a more closed off listening experience. This feature also makes use of geo-location access to automatically select the appropriate setting based on where you're heading. Sony WH-CH720N The Sony WH-CH720N headphones are excellent choice if you're looking to purchase headphones that provide excellent active noise cancellation at affordable costs. They're a step up from their predecessor model, the 710N Wireless, with a better ANC performance and better audio quality. They also have smaller dimensions and up to 35 hours of battery life. However, if you're expecting flagship-level features like LDAC Bluetooth support and Smart Listening with voice assistant integration, these headphones aren't for you. They don't come with a carrying case, auto-pause feature, or foldable earcups and are therefore difficult to travel with. The WH-CH720N's build quality is decent but not as good as the aforementioned 1000XM5. The headband and earcups are made of plastic. They're light and comfortable for long periods, however, they aren't built to withstand heavy use or a few falls on hard surfaces. The design is somewhat bulky, and the earcups tend to creak when you move your head. The controls are simple to use, with tactile buttons that give good clicky feedback. One press of the power button toggles ANC on and off, whereas pressing and holding prompts you to turn on Sony's Adaptive Audio Control feature. This feature lets you select a preset audio profile depending on the way you're using the headphones (e.g., Staying at Work or Running) or your current location (with your phone granted permission to decide this). The WH-CH720N is among the most cost-effective headphones for wireless noise cancelling headphones on the market. You get great ANC for the price, lightweight comfort and up to 35-hour battery life. These headphones are worth checking if you commute frequently. 5. Earfun Air Pro The Air Pro is no different. The earbuds feature the most recent Qualcomm chip to ensure the clarity of calls, with background noises and clicks kept to a minimum even when talking next to the London Underground at rush hour. The earbuds' Bluetooth connectivity is also excellent and there were no issues during our tests. They connect quickly and with low latency to iOS and Android devices. They're also IPX5 waterproof, which means they're fine for rain and exercise - though you shouldn't immerse them in water. They also come with a portable case that holds two and a half charge that are great to take on trips.
